I am an adult third culture kid.

South Asian by birth, I lived in semi-rural West Africa from the age of five until twelve. Then I returned to my birth country where I survived (reverse) culture shock, teenage years, and high school, before migrating to Australia. See the post “How I became a Third Culture Kid” for a little more on this.

I am married to another adult third culture kid.

One of my earliest loves has been reading. Growing up in West Africa carried isolation with it, so books made up my world. It has been a small step from there to wanting to write.

My hope is that my experiences help others – third culture kids or otherwise – realize they are not alone in their own experiences of transition, isolation, and loss.
